Why Reading to Recover?

The motivation for this comes from the blogger's battles with mental health issues. Acting as a method of distraction and a motivation to keep going as it's rekindled a love of books which had been somewhat lost. As well as this it aims to raise awareness that people with mental health issues are still human beings, and there is always a reason to keep fighting, in this case its reading and writing and yelling about books.

The Blogger

Reading to recover is run by Sarah (or Sar no one calls her this in real life but she secretly loves it), a recent psychology graduate student from Suffolk, England. Sarah is an asexual, Christian, vegetarian, fighter for equality and lover of dogs (especially really big fluffy ones).
When she isn't reading she's probably thinking about TV shows, dyeing her hair a random colour, lip-syncing to Call Me Mother by RuPaul or singing folk songs.

The Books

The reviews on this blog are most likely to be young adult, ranging from fantasy to contemporary. Most of the books will have been purchased by the blogger although some may have been provided by publishers, in the case of this it will be mentioned in the review and will in no way affect the honesty of the opinions which are given.

For any more information check out the blog's review policy, social media and contact information on the Contact page.
